Where did you go to college? Geneva College

What inspired you to become a teacher? My High School Science Teacher, Mr. Thompson

Tell us about your family. I have been married to my husband Aaron for 17 years, and we have three children.

Do you have any pets? Not right now.

What do you enjoy doing in your free time? Going to Pokémon tournaments with my kiddos

What is your favorite vacation spot? Anna Maria Island

What is a fun fact about yourself? I have an over 3-octave vocal range. 


CLASSROOM & FAITH

What are you most excited about this school year? Being not only the librarian but a music teacher as well.

What is your favorite thing about teaching? Watching students blossom in their God-given abilities.

What do you hope your students learn from you this year? I hope that they learn a love for the written word and for music

What classroom rule is most important to you? The rule of mutual respect. If you respect me and my ability to teach you, I will respect you and your ability to learn.

What is your favorite Bible verse? Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. ~ Philippians 4:8

How have you seen God work in your life or classroom? God is a constant driving force in my life. His direction has led me to this moment and to the responsibilities that He has given me. I do not take those responsibilities lightly and do everything in my power to continue His kingdom. I treat my students like my own children and only wish for them to thrive and grow into the abilities the Lord has given them.
