The Fellowship of Fantasy Magical Dogs Anthology

UUP is partnering with the Fellowship of Fantasy to host their anthologies.

We’re also publishing new anthologies together.

We are opening submissions for a NEW ANTHOLOGY on December 1, 2022.

The theme of this anthology is MAGICAL DOGS!

Send us your fantasy short stories (between 3,000 and 8,000 words) about dogs and make sure they are well polished. We want your very best work!

Every accepted author will receive:

• $25 (USD) for the short story
• 1 paperback copy of the book (with the option to buy more at cost)
• Free swag
• Listing on the UUP Amazon Page and website

The rights UUP will acquire include a six-month exclusive publishing contract. Six months after publication, you may republish your story again. All other rights remain with the author.

What we’re looking for:

• Stories with a fantasy element of some kind, whether a single fantasy aspect or a whole different world
• Heartwarming, feel-good stories (the dogs must stay alive, and preferably all humans should as well)
• PG content (or very low PG-13)
• Little to no language (mild swearing, 1-2 usages maximum)
• Romantic elements are fine, but not required (and low heat level)
• Stories with timeless, broad appeal for dog lovers

Please do not submit:

• Poetry
• Flash fiction
• Stories without fantasy elements
• Stories below or above the word count limit
• Stories outside of our ratings
• Stories aimed specifically at MG/children or YA/teens (we’re looking for broad appeal stories, so focus on the dogs and build stories around showcasing the warm feels)
