Silmaril Awards Ceremonies

Now in its ninth year, the Silmaril Awards aim to be the most unique and serendipitous celebration of fantasy literature you will find anywhere on the internet. It’s four weeks of frenzied nominations, voting, and epic ceremonies that promise surprises at every turn.

These are awards not for authors or books but for the characters themselves. Each award is presented by one of Tolkien’s characters, whom are the embodiment of the various awards. Popular awards include Most Epic Hero, Most Epic Heroine, Most Faithful Friend, and Most Nefarious Villain.

Be sure to get your nominations in and tell all your friends. Who knows? Your favorite characters may take home this year’s coveted silmarils, the rarest and most spectacular jewels in all of fantasy fiction.
